I think I've been a runner as long as I've been a graphic designer. For me, they go hand-in-hand. When I step out the door to go for a run, my mind free's up and the creative ideas start to flow. Running the Honolulu Marathon and Kalakaua Merrie Mile this year will be a special celebration of achievement! Aloha!

A New Year!
Excited to start 2017 off with a design for the Haleiwa Triathlon in Hawaii, which will be held on March 4, 2017. The client wanted a design that was remnant of the Heavy Metal music scene.

It's been too long since I wrote in this blog area, which might be because I'm more comfortable designing, then writing about my designs. (I'm setting a new goal for myself to write one post a month, then it won't feel so intimidating!)

Finding inspiration...
I'm always on the lookout for something that catches my eye. Working on event graphics is fun and challenging to create something original. When I saw the Finisher Medal for the 2014 Sea Wheeze Half Marathon, my creative juices fired up! I am so inspired, I want to do this event to experience it personally! Creative research? Heck yah!
